Wasabi Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients

2 pounds russet or Idaho potatoes, peeled and quartered
2 teaspoons salt, divided
3/4 cup half-and-half
1 tablespoon McCormick® Gourmet Collection Wasabi Powder
1/4 teaspoon McCormick® Gourmet Collection Garlic Powder
1/8 teaspoon McCormick® Gourmet Collection White Pepper, Ground
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter

Directions

1. Place potatoes in medium saucepan. Cover with water and add 1 teaspoon of the salt. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 10 to 15 minutes or until potatoes are fork tender. Drain and return potatoes to saucepan.

2. Mix half-and-half and wasabi powder in small bowl. Stir until wasabi is dissolved. Set aside.

3. Sprinkle potatoes with remaining 1 teaspoon salt, garlic powder and pepper. Mash with potato masher, gradually adding half-and-half mixture, then butter.
