Herbed Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients

2 pounds russet or Idaho potatoes, peeled and quartered
2 teaspoons salt, divided
1/4 teaspoon McCormick® Gourmet Collection Garlic Powder
1/8 teaspoon McCormick® Gourmet Collection White Pepper, Ground
3/4 cup half-and-half
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
2 teaspoons McCormick® Gourmet Collection Chives, Chopped
1 teaspoon McCormick® Gourmet Collection Parsley Flakes

Directions

1. Place potatoes in medium saucepan. Cover with water and add 1 teaspoon of the salt. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 10 to 15 minutes or until potatoes are fork tender. Drain and return potatoes to saucepan.

2. Sprinkle potatoes with remaining 1 teaspoon salt, garlic powder and pepper. Mash with potato masher, gradually adding half-and-half then butter. Stir in chives and parsley.
