Serve grilled steak like it’s done in Italy – sliced on grilled ciabatta bread and topped with juicy ripe tomatoes. Or make it a steak salad by serving the steak slices and tomato salad on arugula with the grilled bread on the side.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons McCormick® Gourmet Collection Tuscan Seasoning
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon McCormick® Gourmet Collection Sicilian Sea Salt
1/4 teaspoon McCormick® Gourmet Collection Black Pepper, Coarse Grind
1 pound New York strip steaks (1/2-inch thick)
1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon olive oil, divided
2 cups chopped plum tomatoes (5 to 6 tomatoes)
1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

Directions

1. Mix Seasoning, sugar, sea salt and pepper in small bowl. Reserve 1 tablespoon for tomato salad. Brush steaks with 1 teaspoon of the oil. Rub with remaining seasoning mixture. Refrigerate 30 minutes or longer for extra flavor.

2. Meanwhile, mix tomatoes, onion, vinegar, remaining 1 tablespoon oil and reserved seasoning mixture in medium bowl. Cover. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

3. Grill steaks over medium-high heat 6 to 8 minutes per side or until desired doneness. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing. Serve steak with tomato salad.
