Ingredients

1 pound boneless beef sirloin steak
3 tablespoons reduced sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons McCormick® Gourmet Collection Sesame Seed, Toasted
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon McCormick® Gourmet Collection Garlic Powder
1 teaspoon McCormick® Gourmet Collection Ginger, Ground
1/2 teaspoon McCormick® Gourmet Collection Red Pepper, Crushed
2 green onions, thinly sliced

Directions

1. Place steak in freezer 20 minutes. Cut steak lengthwise into 1/4 inch-thick strips.

2. Mix remaining ingredients in small bowl. Place meat in large resealable plastic bag or glass dish. Add marinade; turn to coat well.

3. Refrigerate 30 minutes. Remove steak from marinade. Discard any remaining marinade. Thread steak in zig-zag fashion onto skewers.

4. Broil on high or grill over medium-high heat 6 to 8 minutes or until desired doneness.

Tips

Test Kitchen Tips:

  • Freezing the steak for 20 minutes firms it up allowing you to cut it into thin long strips.

  • If using wooden skewers, soak in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
